The Ascension

Have you ever seriously thought about what your purpose is here on Earth? Has God put you here for a reason? Indeed, He has.

So what is that purpose? Some foolishly suggest that it is “to eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die” (from the Rubaiyat by Omar Khayyam and various Bible quotes: Isaiah 22:13, Ecclesiastes 8:15, 1 Corinthians 15:32, and Luke 12:19).” Surely, these are misinterpretations of God’s intent for us. Let’s reflect on the teachings that the Ascended Masters revealed through our teachers Mark L. and Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

The masters state that in each of our lifetimes, we have the opportunity to strive for oneness with God. We walk the spiritual path of devotion, service, self-sacrifice, and balancing the karma we made through our many embodiments. Once we have fulfilled our reason for being (our divine plan), balanced and expanded our threefold flame, and balanced 51% of our karma (repaying all our debts to life), we are eligible to return to God through the ritual of the ascension.

The ascension is the culmination of the soul’s God-victorious sojourn in time and space. In this process, the soul reunites with the Spirit of the Living God, the I AM Presence.

Enoch’s ascension is described in the Bible: “He walked with God: and he was not, for God took him.” Elijah experienced the ascension when “he went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” And we know that Jesus “was carried up into Heaven,” meaning that he made his ascension, as well.
